Registration open for 2018 Carpathian Couriers Race

As season 2018 is drawing closer, teams finalise their budgets and make last adjustments to their sponsor portfolios and squads. 2017 is already over and planning for the future is well underway – it’s November after all. 

It also means that the next edition of Carpathian Couriers Race starts in only six months!

We are glad to confirm that our race comes back for the 10th time and will take place between April 29th and May 3rd, although it may just get a day longer. We will have more details for you in the coming weeks and months – so stay tuned.

November is also high time we opened the teams registration. In 2018 we would like to see our peloton made up of 8 UCI-registered teams, 8 club teams and 8 national teams – all competing in in squads of five.

Organising the cycling event is a difficult task in itself, however, our mission has always been guided by an ambition to get the balance right. And we don’t mean the budget (sic!), rather the composition of our young and colourful bunch.

On one hand we want our race to grow and host world’s best riders in U23 category, on the other we have always been and still are open for smaller outfits and national teams. This way we hope to contribute to growing popularity of cycling and raising the level of teams competing in Central and Eastern Europe. This has been and remain our mission since the reactivation of the race in 2009.
